Marksburg Castle
We took a 2.5 hour tour of Marksburg castle (thhttp://www.everycastle.com/Marksburg-Castle.html) this morning after breakfast. It was originally built in 1117.
Top pic was taken from the smoking area of our riverboat where we docked.
For more pics, see above link.
We will be departing here at noon sailing the reminder of the day up the Rhine River past many castles!

Corpus Christie Day in Cologne
Today was a national holiday in Germany = Corpus Christie Day (Https://publicholidays.de/corpus-christi/). All the stores were closed - but cafes, gasthouses, were open. Below are pics of the 1.5-hour parade they had through old town Cologne. Each section of the parade represented various Cologne catholic parishes and "trades" (bakers, plumbers, carpenters, etc).
Cologne Cathedral
Kim in front of cathedral (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cologne_Cathedral) and side view. Famous for several reliquaries including the bones of the 3 kings that visited Jesus.
