The above are symbols of the great news that I wanted to share with everybody! To decipher meanings of symbols – read below!
Linh has changed her mind about entering a graduate program in the US! Beginning about 6 months ago, she and I have been attempting to get her admitted to a US graduate program (JMU cancelled the grad program that she was enrolled in there). Linh HAS been accepted in an Intensive English Program (IEP) at West Virginia University (WVU) – located in Morgantown, WV (a 2.25 hour drive from my house)! She must improve her English skills through the WVU IEP before she can apply for graduate programs. Linh will arrive in the US with her father (Vinh) next Wednesday, December 18th. She will begin her courses at WVU on January 8th.
This will be Linh's and her father's FIRST Christmas in the US. For many, many years, Linh's #1 wish/dream has been to experience a "US Christmas"! I am very grateful that I will be able to help Linh's dream come true and host her and her father. They are both very afraid of "surviving" our cold weather – to date; the coldest temperature either of them has ever experienced was 65F!

Look for many blog updates in the near future!
