First 2 major legs completed: 1) Dulles to Seoul/6,964 miles/flight time 14 hrs 40 mins; 2) 3+ hours lay over in Seoul; 3) Seoul to Ho Chi Minh City (aka HCMC and Saigon)/2,204 miles/flight time 5 hrs 30 mins.
Thank goodness for the Business class "eggs"... they are amazing - almost full lay down position and worth every cent - had them for both legs! Coach section was crammed - coach would've killed me.
Arrived in HCMC on schedule. No trouble exchanging $ for Dong (<- sounds like a game show!?) at airport, negotiating fare with cab driver or ride to/check-in at Oscar Hotel.
Hotel is more than adequate - better than I anticipated. Checked-in and then took a short neighborhood stroll. Location is in middle of District 1 and most of what's worth seeing.
Going to bed now (2AM here/2PM EST) Must try to get body/insulin clocks synched with local time! Another update will follow shortly - as I begin indulging in Saigon.
